News

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

From that verse, we do have good and bad news.
Let’s start with the bad news first.

BAD NEWS:

WAGES. It means it is something you earn or you deserve.
SIN. Doing something wrong. Can be a hostile response to God.
DEATH. It means separation

From the bad news, we can say that we deserve to be separated from God because of our sin. But there is hope!

GOOD NEWS:

GIFT. Giving out of love for someone, not because of what they do
GOD. The giver of gift.
ETERNAL. Means forever
LIFE. Means together.
JESUS CHRIST. The one and only son of God.
LORD. Means someone in control, our in other words boss, or someone in control over your life.

Combining them together, it results to:

We deserve to be separated from God because of our sin but there is hope because God gave in love His only Son Jesus Christ so that we could be together with Him eternally.

What should you do now?

Confess your sins to God and surrender your life to Him.

Let’s pray this one:

Lord Jesus, I come to you believing that you have been sent by the Father to pay for the punishment of my sins. I believe in what you did for me on the cross. I believe that you died and rose again, and I receive you as my Lord and my Savior. I accept that I am a sinner. Please forgive me and cleanse me from all of my sins. Come into my heart and live in me through the Holy Spirit. Please write my name in the Book of Life. From now on, I promise to obey you for the rest of my life. Thank you that I’ve freely received the gift of salvation. In you I am saved. In you I have eternal life. In you I have become a child of God. Amen.

Congratulations!

You've made Christ as your LORD over your life!
